New products are coming out weekly, further saturating an already cluttered market, so which ones come out on top? Some products were able to cut through the noise and see a surge in interest over the past year. Recently, Cosmetify analyzed annual Google searches, year-over-year search differences and social media posts from in-demand hair-care brands to identify the most sought-after products, brands and influencers. Oddly enough, while Kérastase was named the number one most popular brand, it’s nowhere to be found on the top 10 products list. Here’s what the data has to say about the most popular hair products of 2024.
The most popular hair products of 2024
Color Wow Dream Coat Anti-Humidity Hair Spray ($28)
With an overall score of 9.49, Color Wow tops the list with their widely adored Dream Coat. I mean, what’s not to love about a product that knocks out frizz and keeps hair looking glossy no matter the weather?

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo ($28)
Amika’s Perk Up Dry Shampoo earned the highest year-over-year growth, jumping up 236 percent to over two million annual searches in 2024.

Moroccanoil Treatment ($48)
A classic that seems to never be out of style, Moroccanoil Treatment just keeps getting more popular with age.

Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil ($30)
You’ll notice Olaplex secured three spots in the top 10 with their viral products—the most popular being the Bonding Oil that repairs hair and boosts shine, softness and color vibrancy.

Dyson Airwrap ($599)
The Dyson Airwrap continues to be the talk of the town. Although it didn’t see a ton of year-over-year growth, it’s maintaining its spot as a consistent topic of conversation.

Batiste Dry Shampoo ($12)
Beyond its amazing results, Batiste’s original Dry Shampoo is beloved for its scent. After a few spritzes, hair immediately feels, smells and looks fresher.

Olaplex No.6 Bond Smoother ($30)
This leave-in treatment is an Amazon best-seller with over 40,000 five-star ratings, so its reputation tends to precede it, making it a popular pick.

Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector ($30)
Although No. 3 Hair Perfector actually saw a 15 percent drop in year-over-year growth, it still made the list with over two million annual searches and an overall score of 7.45.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo ($30)
This classic dry shampoo will always be famous to us—and apparently everyone else on the internet. It always does the trick without any extra fuss.

Verb Ghost Oil ($20)
We’re always shocked by how weightless this formula is while also putting in some serious work to tame frizz and flyaways.
